Back by popular demand, “Ebenezer Scrooge’s Big Playhouse Christmas Show” returns to delight audiences of all ages again in 2019. Five quick-changing actors play dozens of roles in this fast, funny and highly theatrical reimagining of one of the most beloved holiday stories ever told. Terrorizing the good citizens of Bucks County, Ebenezer Scrooge’s rediscovery of the Spirit Christmas comes in this riotous Dicken’s mashup set in New Hope.

Witness the courageous Crossing that saved the Revolution.
 
Watch General George Washington give an inspiring speech to his troops and then cross the Delaware River in replica boats during this annual reenactment at Washington Crossing Historic Park. The free event starts at noon, with the actual crossing taking place at 1 pm.

Experience the magic of more than 3 million lights illuminating acres of farmland at Shady Brook Farm’s Holiday Light Show! Drive through in the comfort of your own car or enjoy the show on an open-air wagon ride (weather permitting). The two-mile trail takes about 20 minutes to drive through.

Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Boulevard, Norristown
 
Join them as they celebrate Hanukkah at the Elmwood Park Zoo! The fun begins at 12 pm in the Trail of the Jaguar where guests will make themed crafts. You will also have the chance to meet an education animal. Following crafts, they will be lighting the menorah on The Eagle Deck. This event is free to attend with zoo admission.

North Pole Express at New Hope and Ivyland Railroad

Join Santa and Mrs. Claus as you depart New Hope Station for a North Pole Express Train ride through the historic Bucks County countryside on the way to the North Pole. Sing along with their roaming musicians as they play Christmas carols and you sip warm cocoa and enjoy a freshly baked cookie. This festive family event will be an event to remember.

Boathouse Row will glow again with blue and white lighting for each night of Hanukkah, resembling a giant menorah on the Schuylkill River. This annual event is a free public celebration with city officials officiating.
