November 17th - 18th, 2018
Greater Philadelphia Expo Center
The
Kennel Club of Philadelphia's National Dog Show, November 17-18 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, dates back to 1879, making it one of the oldest and most prestigious in the country. It's also one of the most unique. It is one of the few left that require competitors to remain onsite for the duration of the show.
What that means for the general public is upwards of 2,000 dogs from more than 180 different breeds, all on display. Their breeders and handlers are nearby to field questions, and, when asked, are quick to give permission to meet and pet their four-legged superstars. This arrangement makes the show a perfect outing with the kids, an advantage heightened by agility demonstrations, pet rescue organizations, giveaways and raffles, therapy dog interactions, and plenty of opportunity to shop, browse and eat.
